The Education, Culture and Youth Diakonia Committee (ECYD) was initially established to provide Youth Ministry experiences for our youth which bring them closer to our faith as Orthodox Christians. For that purpose, we began a new and exciting journey in 2009.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ECYD is comprised of a board that, together with Father Constantine Simeonidis, provides oversight of all Youth and Adult Education Ministries, including the volunteer teachers and advisors who work with our youth. The board members are:<\/span><\/p>\n

Educational, Cultural, Youth Ministries<\/span><\/h2>\n

The ECYD and the youth program leaders embarked on a new approach to the content and delivery of the Youth Ministries. The format and content of our youth programs were revised to bring new energy to the programs with more contemporary themes and integration of the various ministries. The programs usually meet on Sundays following Divine Liturgy. We continually strive to improve our Youth and Adult Education Ministries at all times.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our Youth Ministries include:<\/span><\/p>\n

Altar Servers<\/span>
Catechetical School<\/span>
Greek Orthodox Youth of America (GOYA)<\/span>
Hellenic Academy<\/span>
Hellenic Dance Troupe<\/span>
(Adult Performance Group age 18+)<\/span>
Also Jr. Hellenic (9th to 12th Grades), Little Aegeans (6th to 8th Grades), Asteria (2nd to 4th Grades), and Filirakia (PreK \u2013 1st Grade) Dance Troupes<\/span>
